The following activities correspond with the information presented in this module. Designed with groups in mind, these tools are a great way for your students to discover important information about themselves, which may influence their college decisions.
Getting financial aid
Go to the AIE Managing Credit and Debit Web site. First, watch the video titled “Credit Card Debt – A Student’s Story.” After the class has finished watching the video, hold a discussion about the video. Next, watch the video “Pizza Cravings and Credit Cards.” After the students watch the video, pair them up and have one student be the college student and one student be the credit card representative. Have the students role-play and develop strategies for dealing with credit card representatives that they might meet on campus. Then switch the students’ roles so each one has a chance to play the college student and the credit card representative.
